Sunsets and Cocktails

We arrived in Noosa late in the afternoon so after checking into the hotel and dumping our gear, we headed out for a walk right as the sun was setting.

Our hotel was located on Little Hastings Street, just above Hastings Street, so it was a 10 minute walk down the hill to the beach, the view walking down made not staying on Hastings Street worth it.

By the time we arrived most of the stores were shutting up shop and all the restaurants were preparing for the dinner rush. So we headed to the surf club for our first round of drinks.

And with a view like this, it was difficult to leave.

We spent a a while  watching the darkness settle over us and the crazy people paddle boarding in the middle of winter.

Then we headed off to find some food. We settled ourselves at Cafe La Monde, the first thing we did was order cocktails.

Then came the pizza.

After letting our dinner settle, we headed back up to the hotel, this time having to walk up the hill. We headed straight to the hotel restaurant for more drinks and desert.

I had a  melting chocolate pudding, with white chocolate cream and chocolate crumble

My sister went for the salted caramel crepes, and mum just had some of both.

After sitting for a little while longer and enjoying the sounds of the trees swishing and the waves crashing ever so lightly in the background, our first night in Noosa was over.
